Supporting local creatives by purchasing originals or prints is a fantastic way to add a special touch to your home or office and contribute to the local economy. We have put together a list of Northern Beaches photographers and artists (plus some info on where to have pieces framed).

Support local artists

To find a locally created piece of art for your wall, make the Manly Art Gallery and Museum your first stop.

You will find original artworks by local Northern Beaches artists at Northern Beaches Gallery in Collaroy. There is also a curated collection at Michael Reid Northern Beaches up in Newport.

You have probably peered in the window as you have driven past Hervey Galleries on Sydney Road. Finally, keep an eye on Curl Curl Creative Space, which features regular exhibitions, including We By The Sea, which is on until September 15th.

If you’re a keen photographer or artist yourself, Northern Beaches Council runs art competitions and exhibitions that showcase emerging and established talents of all ages. To share an example, the Northern Beaches Environmental Art and Design Prize is open to artists and designers of all levels and backgrounds from across Australia, including young people aged 7 to 18 years. This year’s winners were named on 1 August and their works will be on show around the Northern Beaches.
